For example their is a filmmaking YouTuber I watch, Matti Haapoja, and most of his videos end up having 2 storylines in it. The video may be about a recent camera that came out but he also shoots footage of him and his daily life with work and family which adds to the overall story and it keeps it authentic. I'm sure the science goes much deeper into this but I think there is something our brains like when we can relate to someone even if we have never met them in real life.
